Past Weekend was a BLESSING and HEALING!!

Hi All,
This past weekend I was involved in a Retreat in Prince Albert, called the "LIVE-IN" and it was a blessing to be involved in this wonderful organization. I was a Shepherd, and my first time, doing this, and it was a humbling experience. I cannot even begin to share how I truly feel, so I will just add bits. The entire Shepherd Team, I have to say was AWESOME. We truly bonded and the Lord bound us together as His servants. I must say, I enjoyed everyone's talk. I got lots of wonderful information from everyone. And as for my Table...they were awesome. It was amazing to see how the Lord worked in their lives as well...and I was blessed to know them. Just a powerful weekend. For my talk, I played the HEALING RAIN song, and I must say, I had tears in my eyes, and from what others were saying, others were crying too. So with the Lord healing the "Live Inners," He also healed me in ways. My talk went well. Thanks Susan, for your help...(aka Cecillia). But it's good to be back home in Regina.

Other news...I am moving to Canmore, Alberta next week. I was offered a position in a Hotel there, which in itself is amazing. I had applied a while back but heard nothing. But I prayed to God and said, I didn't want to know or find out anything till I was done the Live-In in Prince Albert. It would have distracted me. So yesterday, on Monday afternoon, the Hotel called me, and offered me the job, which is great paying, and will be made Housekeeping Supervisor in July(with a Raise, which does help). Like we all learned this weekend, God does hear our prayers. He doesn't always answer it the way we want to hear it, but He does answer...

Another note. My great grandmother Maryann(nee Nepinek) Genaille died on May 14, 2005. She was in her 90's. I never met her, and was planning to go to Manitoba to meet her, but sadly it wasn't meant to be.

Another happy note. My sister Debbie Longo is pregnant and so we are all excited for her. The baby is due in December. Just what we need...another December-Longo baby...we have had quite a few in that time...

Other than that, God IS good!!

Sandi Patty, successful Gospel and Grammy winning-singing star and me...after her October 1, 2004 Concert at Beulah Alliance Church in Edmonton, Alberta. That was a special night. She is a warm, friendly person, with beautiful talent, and in Gospel circles, she has won a record breaking 39 Dove Awards, 5 Grammys, 11 Female Vocalist of the Year Awards, and many gold, platinum and multi platinum albums to her credits.  Posted by Hello

Picture of my great grandparents wedding day...Peter A. Klaassen and Maria Jantzen in 1892

Here is a photo that my dear Auntie Erla sent me, of her grandparents, Peter A Klaassen and his wife Maria Jantzen(pronounced MARIAH), who married in Kansas in 1892. I believe P.A. Klaassen was born in Prangnau, South Russia, and Maria Jantzen was born in Gnadenfeld, South Russia...both Mennonite Colonies. Their families emigrated to Canada and USA after 1874.

What I love about this picture, is the way it is. Usually it seems the man should be standing and the bride sitting. Also, the pose of it is so neat. There is no smiling, but Maria Jantzen seems to have a hint of a smile on her face. I also love her outfit. Very plain, as Mennonites at that time, did not dress flashy, did not wear lace, and always wore head coverings, kerchiefs. Maria is wearing a bonnet, with the bow under her chin. Peter Klaassen is dressed like the men at that time. Very simple. She was 19 and he was 21.

Another note to add...Peter A. Klaassen's sister is Aganetha Klaassen, who married Abram Groening. And their descendant, and my third cousin is Matt Groening, creator of the Simpsons.

Solo El Amor(ONLY LOVE) song by Sandi Patty

Hi Guys,
There is this gorgeous song sung by my favorite Gospel artist, Sandi Patty, called Solo El Amor (Only Love). She sings in partly Spanish. Just a beautiful song. What I think is neat, is that she sings effortlessly in Spanish. It's a duet with Miguel Guerra.

For a love
I'd do almost anything
I'd cross the widest ocean
For love I'd fly with a broken wing
Just to taste it for a moment
For a love
I'd turn back the strongest tide
There's no storm I couldn't weather
Cause it's more than a gleam in someone's eyes
It's what holds us all together
But I've only known
One sin my lifetime
Love in it's purest form
He came here for me
Suffered and then died
Under a crown ofthorns
Solo el amor...

It's my newest song that I just get chills listening to. I would love to hear her sing this song "LIVE." Maybe I will see her again this year. She is an awesome performer and a genuine woman with such an incredible gift. She touches lives with her music.
Anyways, I am fine. Busy with helping several families with cleaning. 3 homes. It's funny, but I am very busy. I hope this continues until I find secure employment. I have applied at two nursing homes yesterday. So we will see. It would be neat if I could find a job there. I also applied to a Hotel in Banff. Banff is such a beautiful place, and I don't mind being there. I would be able to save money. So, as I said, we shall see.

More thoughts...jumbled as they are

Hi All,
Well, I might move to Banff, Alberta to work in a Hotel there. I know, I thought I would stay here, but I may just just move for awhile. If I do go, I have to stay for a minimum for 6 months, but that's okay. I have always loved Banff, out of the 3 tourist towns I lived in(Jasper and Canmore)...Banff is the best...so gorgeous...although so crowded.

I was at my friend Sandi's last night, and we watched HOTEL RAWANDA. Oh my goodness. Such sadness and such horror. It chilled me watching it. Kind of reminded me of the Holocaust and Hitler's ridding Europe of her Jews. Although Hitler's Genocide of a race of people, killed 6 million Jews, and millions of other nationalities. But still, the Rawanda killings, is sad, in that this happens in countries all over the world, and right now people are being slaughtered just for their race, beliefs, color of skin, etc.

It makes me wonder, if I could ever be that brave, to risk my life for someone else, for my own...I don't know. I just don't know.

Sandi and me also watched INTERPRETATIONS video on the CARPENTERS. That was fun. Even Sandi seemed pleased to be watching it...although I wonder if pleased is the word she would use...

We are busy cleaning and organizing her home. On Sunday, Susan and I put up a whole bunch of shelves in her office closet. She was surprised that I could do it. I am shocked Susan! No, I am shocked that I COULD do it...anyhow.

Talked to Mom on Sunday and wished her a Happy Mother's Day. It was good to hear from her. Found out my sister Debbie, is expecting her third child, so I am excited for her. If it's a boy, maybe she will name him Cameron, and if it's a girl, maybe Cammille. Well why not...those are BEAUTIFUL names.

Anyhow, take care for now...

Still in Regina...that's the way it looks like right now...

Hi Guys,
I am still in Regina. 3 months later, after coming here for a few weeks. But I am not upset about it in anyway. I guess, for the time, I am meant to be. It has been wonderful to not have a need to go anywhere, to live in a tourist town or wherever. It's nice to be settled for the time, and continue with friendships here...Sandi, Denise(and beautiful baby Monica), Michael and Helen and Rich and Susan and others...
I am in the process of opening a CAM SWEEP company, which is a cleaning company. There is still a lot of planning, and it's in the beginning stages. Basically I will do all the cleaning and if there is a demand I will have to get a few helpers. But I try not to worry too much about it yet.
I am feeling good about life. Thankfully I have been rid of a 3 week cold I had. Praise God! I hate being sick. Truly I do.
I saw my cousin Bruce Chartrand about a week ago. He lives in Saskatoon and he came down to visit his girlfriend, who lives in Regina. So he and I arranged to get together, which was nice. His mother Rose, and my late mother Florence were twin sisters. His Dad is my Dad's uncle, so we are doubly related. Neat. Actually we are also related 4 times altogether.
Well on Sunday will be Mother's Day. What a day! I love that day, to remember both Mothers that I have. Fern and Florence(deceased). I thank the Lord for them both. One gave me life, and one sustained my life to adulthood...I chatted with my mother the other day, on Sunday, and we had such a nice chat, laughing and being crazy. I really love her so much. We always say that we want the Lord to take us together, so we don't have to face each other's funeral which is not something I look forward to...but then, I suppose that is life. Pain and heartache are something us humans have to face.
It was so nice to spend some time with my great friends Michael and Helen. I love them both so much. They are full of love, humor, stories, and they have such ample love in their lives for others. It really touches me. I thank the Lord for so many wonderful people he has brought into my life.
It has also been nice to talk to Jeanne and Debbie regularily. Jeanne got a cell phone so she is pleased as punch. So we have been in constant contact. I also chat with my brother Sachia in Montreal. I love him to death too. As for my sister Cori, in Edmonton, I rarely hear from her, but hear she is very busy with her 2 jobs! I hope she is doing fine and takes some time to enjoy life.

Cameron
